Credit Report Terms

Effective from 8 October 2026 · Last updated 8 October 2026

These terms apply when you authorise Credit Sathi Technology Solution Pvt Ltd ("CreditSaathi") to obtain your credit information to check your eligibility for loans and cards. They supplement our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. What you authorise

By ticking the credit check consent box, you appoint CreditSaathi to obtain your credit information report and credit score from one or more credit information companies (CICs), currently Experian Credit Information Company of India Pvt Ltd (and in future possibly TransUnion CIBIL, Equifax or CRIF High Mark), through our authorised partner Surepass, as permitted under the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005 and the rules and regulations under it.

2. Purpose

We use your credit information only to (a) check your eligibility against Partner criteria, (b) show you suitable Partners, and (c) share your eligibility outcome with the Partner you choose. We do not use it for any other purpose or share it with advertisers.

3. Effect on your credit score

This is a consumer-initiated, soft enquiry and does not lower your credit score. A Partner that processes your formal application may make its own enquiry, which may be recorded as a hard enquiry.

4. Validity and retention

Your consent is valid for 6 months from the date you give it, or until you withdraw it, whichever is earlier. We keep the credit report only as long as needed for the purpose and in any case not beyond this period, unless the law requires otherwise.

5. Accuracy and disputes

The credit report is prepared by the CIC. CreditSaathi does not create or change its contents. If you find an error, raise a dispute directly with the CIC concerned; we can guide you on how.

6. Withdrawal

You can withdraw this consent anytime by writing to grievance.creditsaathi@creditsaathi.co.in. After withdrawal we will not obtain fresh credit information and will delete the report we hold, except where the law requires us to keep it.

This document is available in Hindi and other languages listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution on request at support@creditsaathi.co.in. If there is any difference between versions, the English version prevails.
